October's Gone (A Poem)

The winter breeze
has seized the morning sunbeams
and my skin,
The leaves descend from trees
and brittle branches start to thin
A flock of birds have disappeared
beyond the sea and skies
while snowflakes fall and bring the world
to rest before my eyes

The earthen colors fade to grey
and now October's gone
The land is dim, the air is cold
The night is very long ...
I move a little closer to the
window by the bed
I linger in a daydream
and remember what you said:

"I may not be there when
it comes--- the hour we've spoken of
But keep this fire in my words
The fires of my Love...
For even in your Darkest Night
A glimmer you will see
'Twas in You where I saw the Light
I longed to spark in me."

The Mirror Will Take Care of Itself

If you try to prove that someone is wrong, it does not necessarily prove that you are right. If you try to make someone look bad, it does not make you look good either. It's always best not to point fingers at anyone.. Remember, each time you point a finger at anyone, you point three other fingers to yourself. Just be the change that you wish to see in this world and the mirror will take care of itself.

New Eyes, New Worlds

Whenever I gain the strength to step out of my comfort zone, and defy my limits, immediately -- possibilities open, awareness expands. It is in this simple act of faith in myself that I turn on my inner light , find the keys to new worlds and then I soon realize that all these worlds were already present in me, and I in them --- Somewhere along the way I had just forgotten that I had the eyes to see.

Soulspeak With Ben Stewart: Filmmaker for 'Esoteric Agenda', 'Kymatica' and the Latest Film 'Ungrip'

"The troubles that beset man are not pains to be avoided,
Not sufferings  put to rest , nor problems to be solved
Rather simple riddles we unravel,
Parables of our reflections, reflections of our paralysis,
Unfinished stories to conclude, philosophies one must discover,
Instruments with which to create, and an art to appreciate...
All once believed, and all that is left
Is left only to UNGRIP."

  (Ben Stewart)

Evolving Through Film

Every poem or story I write always opens a door, one that leads to a new world for me to wander off , explore or muse about. Each creation a personal revelation and journey to self that no other form of art can manifest. I imagine the same (if not more intense) process of self-discovery being enjoyed by other artists, musicians and the like. Recently I had a chance to interview  Musician  and filmmaker, Ben Stewart, lead vocals to the band Hierosonic and one of the creators of the Indie films: Esoteric Agenda, Kymatica and the latest, Ungrip (Dan Stewart, his brother is the co-director). I would say, after having seen all films, that Ben is a true epitome of this evolutionary process.

I had a wonderful interview with Ben. It's always refreshing to meet people whose thoughts I resonate with... well, mostly. I honestly don’t agree with a lot of the new stuff I read and see on the internet, social networking sites, Youtube etc...however I do  find Ben's work thought provoking and his way of presenting his theories and philosophies compelling. We live in an era that encourages massive downloads of new information on a myriad of topics or interests beyond what we would normally consider ‘academic’ and it's always good to have someone like Ben  helping us dive into uncharted areas in both scientific and spiritual aspects of  these subjects.

His latest film Ungrip is about one man (Rob Page) and his journey through his transition --from being a former  successful IT professional of 20 years,  to ending his career moving to the country, off the grid, along with his family to build their own earth ship and start a new life —a life that aims to be free from the 'matrix' that is society, a life of conscious self-governance. The movie was well crafted, and eye opening to say the least, and it really encourages us to raise the right questions, while looking inward. It’s quite a lot to process if you’re new to the concept of the matrix – but that’s why the filmmaker is part of the  movie too—to offer to people from all walks of life the perfect narrative, as he always does.  I do strongly encourage you to watch Esoteric Agenda & Kymatica as well to see these parables, reflections, unfinished stories, instruments and art baked into these movies- and to witness   an evolution  of consciousness seen through the eyes of Ben Stewart.

How and when did your interest in film-making begin ?
For most of my life I was born and raised Catholic, and something along those lines didn't sit right although most parts did. There was confusion to some specifics with the way I was raised, and I started asking a lot of questions. At the age of 12 I got into the Eastern Philosophies, Taoism was a big one, at that time I was doing a lot of reading, just generally learning without any true ambition of what I was trying to learn. I'm also a musician so around 5-6 years ago I got into the Math behind music notes, and I saw how certain things like sound have been kind of skewed and perverted. I started realizing that there were hidden types of information that we’re not able to find in a mainstream sense. I realized there was some sort of conspiracy. But the more I searched the more I felt uplifted instead of feeling scared of a lot of things going on on mainsteam media on a large scale. But yes, it was music that got me into creating my first movie—Esoteric Agenda.  Back then I was seeing a lot of videos and read books on subject and I wouldn’t see much explanation or understanding of the solution both scientific and spiritual. I saw many of them talk about fear and love a lot. I found that all very interesting but I wanted to show more of the raw data that proved that.

What inspired you to create the movie "Ungrip"?
My inspiration was Rob's life really. I saw that it was such a great analogy for the struggle on slavery and freedom,  I wanted to show a reflection of what's inside all of us that feels enslaved. I've always had an inspiration for that thing that is always free. Some do it for religion, philosophy, ... I do it for art. I see art as the vehicle to freedom. Everything I do is a journey to freedom, and there is a necessary lesson on freedom with slavery.

You mentioned "Love" a few times in the movie .... so let me ask you this: What is LOVE?
Love is a presence that we all have within us in which we build walls and armor around because we believe it is limited.  It's not something we give or receive, we accept.  We embrace, and after all is said and done, we have too much to keep to ourselves, but only if it's authentic.

I'm sure by now you are aware of all sorts of feedback , particularly the criticism that arise upon the release of your movies... that's all a part of every creative venture like this, how do you prepare yourself for all of it?
I don't prepare for it. Only because I don't see criticism as a reflection of me. The intent of my art is to encourage people to look into the mirror and see the message that comes out of that. When we look into the mirror we do not blame it for the blemishes. So I don't fear people's responses. My hope is that when people criticize my work it brings about a truth in them.

What's the biggest thing that you have UNLEARNED from this experience?
I realized that there is no certain point that I am trying to reach. It's not about moving to one path. It's all about shedding the illusions —unlearning everything I thought I needed was power. Where we've always been, is where we are traveling, and there is no plus sign to me, it's always just a minus sign.

Occupy Wall Street is a very important subject right now because it touches some the big issues raised on your movies - although interpretation varies. What are your views on this movement?
The Occupy movement can be scolded or praised, but they at least have our attention... and attention is the single most important element to any movement.  People like seeing protests on television because it gives them permission to protest their inner dependency on the system.  Our generation has a culture unlike most because we've fallen in love with having a voice.  So I expect to see more protests in the future that outgrow the need for a name, let alone a party affiliation. So I don't mind that it has the name of Occupy and the icon of Wall Street as outlets for our boredom with the current paradigm.  I sense that this generation is growing up and realizing that the parent role that the system plays, is now to be parented.  It's like mythology playing itself out today.  The Olympians overthrowing the Titans.

On a slightly different topic, I've always thought of asking you this: What's your current view on all the stories and discussions surrounding us today that talk about end-time prophecies and theories?
I think it's beautiful that there are so many of them, many of us don't buy them but we do read them, so they do awaken a certain truth in us. I like how there are portions of these philosophies that allow us to 'die' in a certain fashion. Majority of these philosophies have a spiritual edge to them. If you take a look at them it's not just about one comet hitting the earth. There is a revolution of consciousness being spoken of that leads us to a place where the ego cannot go to. The effect is a huge awakening, where people begin to psychologize, and experience a death to the ego. I think all these theories bring about a healthy construct of the mind. Just like a child let's say, that quits a sport he hates because it's difficult and then moves on to do something he loves and then excels on it.  Just like a tree falling, just like fungus growing, or just like the breaking of things. Destruction is needed in order for new life to emerge.

Having said that, what was born into you out of all the films you've done?
Realizing that the idea of freedom , the ideas of right or wrong that I used to have is something I can no longer relate to, and that it's important to look at life through different lenses and constantly challenge my own perspective in order to get rid of all the noise, go within, seek out my purpose and understand who I am.-- So the only thing I can honestly say was born into me was the thread of inspiration that leads me through all of the mirrors in my life that show me what I am.

Life is movement...what's next?
The Hanged Man Project is in the process of a face change.  The website is being rebuilt and since the art and presentation of this project is the actual soul of it, this new website will mark a transition in it.  What is being built through the Hanged Man Project is more of a culture than a following.  Those who come to the forums aren't there because of myself or the films.  They're on those forums because they have permission to say what they like without judgement as long as there's a level of mutual respect.  So that's what I look forward to adjusting the website to accommodating.

Your ONE MESSAGE to the world.
Seek inspiration.  It's unlimited in its power.

THE FLAG (A Zen Koan)

Two monks were arguing about a flag.
One said: "The flag is moving."
The other said: "The wind is moving."
The Sixth Patriarch Hui Neng happened to be passing by.
He told them:
"Not the wind, not the flag; mind is moving."

How I Live In The Moment

I have learned that one way for me to live in the moment is to be enthusiastic, for what is here now and for what's there to come. No matter how challenging life gets, I can approach the day with vigor and amass the energy of hope and new light... It's best to get inspiration from the people I meet too, for in looking consciously into 'the mirror' I learn that some of the things I once thought were impossible, are possible, and vice versa. I also remind myself that life begins every time the sun comes up, so there is really no reason to look back, and the movement is onwards and upwards.

I do not know what comes next, but being HERE, NOW, I realize my power to create my future. What comes next is always up to us.

We are all meant to move on this way--- This is how we find out who we are.

BEAUTIFUL THINGS (A Poem)

I find myself drawn
To beautiful things
Now more than ever
They are the simplest things too
All my little joys
My new found pleasures
Slowly emerging
Like a hidden flower
Blooming in my Soul

The "Story Memory Dream Book"

My daughter asked me one day if she can have one of my old unused notebooks and I said sure. Like many kids her age she loves to doodle, and I saw that she had used it as a drawing pad which is cool. Today while I was cleaning the room I saw it again and noticed her writing at the back which says:

"This is a story memory dream book"

How wonderful, I thought, and instantly it reminded me what ART is all about --- It is about the beauty of the moment, that sudden rush of inspiration and passion, stored in that one work of art , or work of 'heart' as I often call it. I reveled at this thought for a while ...happy for this simple confirmation --- All the stone carvings of our ancestors , the ancient fixtures, the pyramids , paintings, myths and scriptures, all the novels, all the songs and poems written in time--- all born not merely from enjoyment and the desire to release one's creative energies alone... art exists because the soul will always be loyal to the heart no matter how great the mind is, and it is art that we embody the truth of who we are... that is why so many of us are inspired, healed, awakened, by art because it can only come from that divine essence, which no one can ever deny or alter.

Each time we pour our hearts on our craft we create a "story memory dream book" that lives on, because WE DO NOT WANT TO FORGET WHO WE ARE -- nor can we. We are all Lovers and Dreamers, and Children of this Earth.

A Quiet Mind is All You Need

A quiet mind is all you need. All else will happen rightly, once your mind is quiet. As the sun on rising makes the world active, so does self-awareness affect changes in the mind. In the light of calm and steady self-awareness, inner energies wake up and work miracles without any effort on your part.

THAT ROAD SIGN CALLED ANGER

Lately I get asked if I still get angry ... of course I do! I'd be lying if I said no. But if you ask me if I STAY angry I'd tell you right away, no... I have better things to do with my time here on earth than to think about people or situations I don't like, and carry this baggage along wherever I go.

Anger is like a stop sign in the middle of a barren land, we can't escape or ignore it, we can try, but we will just find ourselves going backwards... and once we finally have the courage to face it, it doesn't stop there... We're going to make another decision.

Will we really stop as this sign tells us? Will we move forward or will we give in to the illusion of fear? Will we sit there in that vast empty space and fix our eyes on a single object and see red? Will we remain slaves to our grudges or will we free ourselves by taking that one risk-- that is -- to keep walking?

It's always a matter of choice--- and the choice is ours and ours alone.

The Bigger Picture

"There is beauty in the lightning that we cannot see when it hits above us. There is wisdom behind the sound of thunder that we cannot hear unless we take a step back. The bigger picture will always tell the bigger story."

I remember writing this back in May  ... what reminded me was a video   I saw on TED by Nathalie Miebach called Art of Storms where she takes weather data from massive storms and turns it into complex sculptures that embody the forces of nature and time. These sculptures then become musical scores for a string quartet to play. The song of the storm is just beautiful. Makes one really change the way we see storms... Nature is singing to us. To me, it is a strong message...

There is harmony in chaos.

Grounding (A Poem)

You have grounded me
So much that my roots
Have found their strength
So much that I find myself dancing
In the middle of a storm

SOULSPEAK WITH "LIFTING THE VEIL" HOST CARI-LEE MILLER

"At a very young age (16) I left home while being showed the door. When I look back at it, I was and always have been searching. I was raised Catholic and knew it wasn’t my way. Both parents were addicted to pharmaceuticals and both were abusive. It is what it is and I chose this path for a reason, I have never been more sure of anything in my life for through all of the suffering I have gained great strength and love."

Cari-Lee Miller

MISSION POSSIBLE

Cari-lee may perhaps be one of the most passionate and driven women I've had the privilege of meeting. Not only is she the host of a show that  tackles truth, rants, and topics that challenge us to find the answers to questions that are the core of our spiritual formation, she's also into the fabulous art of designing and making crystals, and a strong advocate of self-governance and devotion to the foundation of all tribes and nations -- the family.

She's a mom with a major mission, and she's out to change the world.

Tell me about your life and passions. How did your work on radio and the truth movement begin?
If I began by saying I have been awake all along I would be lying, but if I was to say I only awakened in the last 3 years, that would be a lie as well. I think it would be fair to say that it has been a process and that I have been drifting in and out of consciousness until about 2 years ago. I relate it to those first moments before you’re ready to wake in the morning, you know, before your juice or coffee? That groggy in and out stage of waking up... I think I lived there for long while.

I knew so much was backwards and upside down but never enough to really make a difference for myself. I shopped at Walmart and I ate McDonald’s, there I said it! I am daughter, sister, wife, mother, friend, companion and then some. I am inspiration while being inspired. I am relentlessly never going to give up. I am just me which is most humbly and gratefully a part of you.

At a very young age (16) I left home while being showed the door. When I look back at it, I was and always have been searching. I was raised Catholic and knew it wasn’t my way. Both parents were addicted to pharmaceuticals and both were abusive. It is what it is and I chose this path for a reason, I have never been more sure of anything in my life for through all of the suffering I have gained great strength and love.

I played with psychedelics, and lived as I felt I should, quitting high-school for a bar-tending job (that’s where I was introduced to Graham Hancock and his book Fingerprints of the Gods, best tip I ever received), later going to college, then dropping out and travelling alone to the other side of the world with my last year’s tuition are just some samples of the way I’ve lived. I never followed the rules, never did as I was told, unless I saw the logic in it, and never backed down from a challenge. The moment of my true awakening though-- that was something else.

Two years ago, after years of learning about energy work, elementals, the ways of the earth and my own personal power I became sick. I was bed-ridden for 5 days and in that time I went insane with research rather than cuddling up with a simple ‘good movie’ as I had so many times in the past. I don’t remember what I watched, what I read, where the sites were that I visited. I do however remember how it hit me and what effect it had. I can’t lie and say I handled it well because I didn’t. I collapsed, crying often and being so confused. I wanted to argue with myself that there was no way I had been living in this lie for so long. It couldn’t be, I was on the brink of knowing all of these truths since I was so very young. It wasn’t as if the information I had found was new to me...I was just finally able to see it without the rose-tinted glasses and without lying to myself or making excuses as to the conditions of things.

When I began in this whole movement or quest for truth I unwittingly got involved with a bit of a scam and along with several others and we exposed it for what it was. A few of us decided to begin to create our own webpage called Earth4ll.net for alternative news and interviews. My first interview with co-host Bruce Fenton was with the group Collective Evolution and I realized in that interview that I really enjoyed this vehicle of being the interviewer. Then sometime in March someone on Facebook asked me to come onto their internet radio show at www.freethinkradio.com to talk politics as the Canadian Elections were being held and I agreed. The next day I was invited to be a host and the rest is history. I now have my own show Lifting the Veil with Cari-Lee where I have spoken about everything that I have been moved to speak about. It’s almost strange if you don’t understand how you create your own reality. Every show I did lead me to my next show for reason and with purpose. No one is a voice without reason and purpose if they respect what they are blessed with.

What's your biggest motivation for doing all this work?
When I began the show I noticed so many problems with little to know solutions, I wanted to help in that area. I wanted to be able to present positive solution. I am very passionate about the human race truly understanding who we are, why we are here and how we can attain our true nature and abilities. The only way I know to do this is to share what I am guided towards and go from there.

What advice will you be giving your children about the future, about life, survival, spirituality?
The advice I give to my children is to always look within for answers, to trust their instincts and to always ask questions if they have them. I want them to truly find happiness and to never think that money can buy anything more than an object, never an emotion. I stress to always think about another person’s reasoning behind their actions before they react and to know that love is and always will be the ultimate answer to any problem they have. To survive this world we must suffer but in our suffering we grow in ways we can only imagine until we experience it. I let them know we have choices in this life when confronted by obstacles or times of strain. We can either use these obstacles as a step to rise above or a continuous crutch to lean on. The most important is to walk beside people, not in front, or behind because we accomplish it all as a team whether as siblings, family, friends, community or the world as a whole. We’re in this together.

What's in the pipeline?
My next step, I am now working on connecting everyone to the reality of personal sovereignty and self-governance. My goal is to achieve this myself along with my husband and family and to take it a step farther. Our goal is to have land where we would have a retreat and/or community to share with who ever will be of like minds and wants to make a difference that will truly set an example. One step at a time though and for now, I’m happy just being me, and loving and living my life.

Your ONE MESSAGE to the world.
My message to the world is kind of the same as the one for my children. Love each other, trust each other and yourselves. Listen to that voice within and please TALK TO YOURSELVES!!! I have figured out some amazing things by voicing them to myself and then doubting over the validity or truth in my thoughts. I’ve never steered myself wrong until I have ignored the voice of my higher self.

The Old Man & The Tomato Garden

I saw this story being passed around on Facebook today and cannot help but share it. We all need a little bit of humor sometimes.
~ o ~

An old Italian gentleman lived alone in New Jersey . He wanted to plant his annual tomato garden, but it was very difficult work, as the ground was hard. His only son, Vincent, who used to help him, was in prison. The old man wrote a letter to his son and described his predicament:

Dear Vincent, I am feeling pretty sad because it looks like I won’t be able to plant my tomato garden this year. I’m just getting too old to be digging up a garden plot. I know if you were here my troubles would be over. I know you would be happy to dig the plot for me, like in the old days. Love, Papa

A few days later he received a letter from his son.

Dear Papa, Don’t dig up that garden. That’ s where the bodies are buried. Love, Vinnie

At 4 a.m. The next morning, FBI agents and local police arrived and dug up the entire area without finding any bodies. They apologized to the old man and left.

That same day the old man received another letter from his son.

Dear Papa, Go ahead and plant the tomatoes now. That’s the best I could do under the circumstances.

Love you,
Vinnie

THE DANCE OF SPIRITS (A Poem)

I love you like the sky loves the sun and the moon,
allowing shadow and light to kiss in the sunset and the dawn.

I love you like the leaf loves the earth on which it rises and falls,
allowing it to sleep with the soil and awaken with the seedlings.

I love you like the ground loves the mist and the air that penetrates its being,

allowing precious morning dew to rise from its depths.

I love you like the tree loves its vines and the roots by which it stands,
allowing us to dance in the coming of the storm.

Little One Saves The Day

I was in the store today and I bumped into an old co-worker. She asked me, "What are you doing right now?", and I said, I write poetry, paint, network with the universe, read. She looked at me and said, "no seriously what are you doing?" obviously she could not believe that I am no longer in her industry, so I said the same thing. "I write poetry, paint, network and read." Right after I said that there was an awkward silence but suddenly my daughter spoke to my friend, so excited and told her: "She's talking to you!! That's what she's doing right now!! My mommy is talking to you!" We all ended up laughing.

Little children ---they always save the day.

The Gift of Choice

Today I am grateful for options and alternatives. For the gift of choice. For knowing the importance of not settling for anything less for myself -- not I or anyone who knows this will see myself as a victim, or subject myself to self-pity or shame, because I choose my reality and I have no one else to blame for it. I am responsible for my own misery and happiness, I hold no one else accountable but myself. This, to me, is true freedom.

SOULSPEAK WITH "SPIRIT SCIENCE" CREATOR JORDAN DUCHNYCZ

"In this society we are conditioned to believe that things are the way they are, that you have no influence unless you have lots of money and power, otherwise don't even bother trying. -- But you need to realize what you are capable of doing, YOU CREATE YOUR REALITY and it's up to you to make that change that you want to see in your whole life. You can't blame anyone for the problems or the situations you find yourself in because ultimately you are on that driver seat. You have to drive yourself wherever you want to go."

Jordan Duchnycz

THE QUEST OF A SPIRIT

Not everyone can say they are out doing what they love doing, that they surrender to the Universe, and that they are living in the moment. At 20, Jordan Duchnycz, a native of Winnipeg Canada, is ready to do all this and more and go wherever the winds of the Universe takes him.

Currently traveling across North America  Jordan has just embarked on a journey he calls "Spirit Quest"  using everything he has learned, all takeaways from his network of like minds, his research and his incredible creative energy to help awaken the movement of consciously curious individuals.

His recent and widely distributed work,  SPIRIT SCIENCE  is an animation series created by Jordan exploring  and teaching the esoteric spiritual scientific or occult nature of things . Something that you won't see in textbooks, or any piece of literature alone. What's special about this series is that it bravely speaks of information that are of enormous importance to this world that is brushed aside or  often labeled as taboo. I have personally seen all his videos and was amazed at how he was able to simplify such complex concepts about this life .   It is, if I may say, very straight to the point, objective and entertaining. What a lot of essential material on the web lack these days.

Today we will get to know more about the man behind this incredible work. A man of pure talent.

Who is Jordan Duchnycz?
I am that I am. Spirit Science didn't just pop out of nowhere. I had gone through my own personal 'awakening' and becoming aware of certain aspects of the reality we exist in for about a year prior, and the spiritual aspects about 4 months before I began spirit science.

Ok, tell me how it all started.
It's interesting because for the majority of my life I was always that kid who felt that something was missing. Right around the end of College I met a friend who introduced me to Reiki and crystals and showed me some basic energy work. I was like WOW, and I felt like this was what I was missing. Things started to go on the right track, everything seemed to click. I started spending all my time researching and googling everything, watching hundreds of hidden youtube videos. I also stumbled upon a book my mom gave me  , "The Ancient Secrets of the Flower of Life" (by Drunvalo Melchizedek) I couldn't put the book down soon as I started reading it. Eventually I just got to the point of learning all about sacred geometry where I said 'You know, if someone just explained this stuff, everyone would be like 'Oooohh!!'. Trouble is, is that everything is SO complex. I tried explaining the sacred geometry to my friends and no one really  understood it so I said someone should should just explain this -- Then I realized I COULD DO IT because I had been animating in flash with 2d animation since I was 12 so I thought why not make a video series based on what I had been studying. That's how I got working.

What motivates you to do all this?
I just love traveling and want to help spread the love. Ultimately, I want to change the world, and help bring about a new age of awareness, peace and love. A lot of people will say its impossible. In this society we are conditioned to believe that things are the way they are, you have no influence unless you have lots of money and power otherwise don't even bother trying. But you need to realize what you capable of doing, YOU CREATE YOUR REALITY, and it's up to you to make that change that you want to see in your whole life. You can't blame anyone for the problems or the situations you find yourself in because ultimately  you are on that driver seat... You have to drive yourself wherever you want to go.

Your most memorable project to date.
Well Spirit Science itself was an amazing project to work on but I'm still going with that. Spirit Quest I think has to be the most amazing for me though, because i get to travel all around the world living totally free, and that in itself is just magical.

What's in the pipeline? Next steps? Mission/Vision?
I'm working on several projects now. The spirit science movie has to be the biggest one that's in the works, but that's also going to take the longest to come out. We have a new series that should be launching next week smetime called "The Curious Consciousness" which is going to be 6 episodes long, and chock full of juicy info from astrology to alien attacks. I'm also working on a series called PatchNews which is going to be a news series from a spiritual perspective. Finally, the spirit science website is constantly getting upgraded, and the forums are thriving as well!

The vision is to build a network and community of individuals from all backgrounds, all walks of life who are all working towards the same thing, which is breaking through the chaos our ego selves have created and moving into a new light of peace and harmony in tune with nature and each other.

Your ONE MESSAGE to the world.
My message to the world is this: You can have, do, or be anything you want. Absolutely anything. Look into your heart and ask yourself, 'WHAT DO I REALLY WANT?'
